Three More Days

Ok, of course you're all waiting for an update, so here it goes. Nicki's phone has been ringing constantly with offers for all of the stuff we need.  Thanks so much for your overwhelming response.  We have received almost everything we need, short of one booster seat, AMAZING!! We haven't had time to respond to any offers for stuff so, our friend, Mollie will contact you sometime tomorrow to coordinate and setup delivery.

Tonight we met our kids! It was awesome! We read books, played games, laughed, and talked.  They warmed up to us by the end.  The respite care family is very nice and was very helpful.  They will be coming over tomorrow afternoon to visit our house.  Then we will visit again on Thursday before we bring them home on Friday.  At least that's the plan.

Oh, then we went to Walmart. If the kids are visiting our place tomorrow then we should probably have a couple of toys to play with.  And while we were there we picked up some other things.  It was so much fun to see Nicki pick up stuff and put it in the cart without even checking the price.  And if you know her, she rarely ever does this.  But these are our kids and there's no time to waste.

You might notice three car seats in our cart.  Yes, we now own the narrowest car seats that are sold locally.  Sadly, we took them home, put them in our car and they didn't fit.  Too bad, because that was plan A.  The one and only.  We have a temporary plan B which looks like borrowing a minivan for the weekend.  But we may need to somehow figure out a bigger vehicle soon.

Wow, what a whirlwind of a day.  We are more excited and more overwhelmed than earlier today but we are still hanging on to the fact that God is leading.  Please be praying for a quick and affordable solution to our vehicle situation so that we can travel together as a family.

Thanks. Good Night!

  4. Hey Paul. John E told me about your story a few days ago - very exciting, and I wish you the best! And I totally get the car seat thing - it's tough to find narrow ones!
